Fall Benefit Virtual Concert available Sunday, November 29, 2020

Dear DGMC Members and Friends,

Greetings!

On Sunday, November 29th at 3:00 PM we will release our Fall Benefit Concert.  This will be a full concert – just like the House Concerts we have been holding for the last three years – except it will be a virtual concert that you can view from our website.   This is always a wonderful concert and now it will be available to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.  This is a free concert but we hope it will encourage you to help support our student music awards.  All donations received from this benefit concert will be used to fund the DGMC student music awards to be awarded in the spring of 2021.

Like all of our weekly concerts, our benefit concert will remain available on our website so you can view it at your own convenience.   Check our website to take a peek at the program – it’s a good one!

You can stream all of our concerts from our website .  The current weekly concert can always be accessed on the home page under UPCOMING EVENTS.  All prior concerts can be accessed by clicking the “See all concert events” button on the home page or by selecting the Concerts & Events webpage from the top menu.  Better yet, when you’ve finished listening to the current video, you can scroll down and access all previous virtual performances from there.

In addition, I’d like to mention that Muriel Anderson, daughter of Andrea and Ted Anderson, will be holding her 29th annual Saturday-After-Thanksgiving Concert on November 28th.  This year, however, her concert is being streamed from Nashville. Click the link above to learn more.

I hope you have been taking time to enjoy our video concerts.  Our musicians have all put a lot of effort and talent into these great performances.  Moreover, the video format has allowed us to include contributions from distant musician friends who were actively involved in our club in years past, but no longer live in our local community.  And it’s exciting to get to hear what some of our prior student award winners are doing with their music now.  We very much appreciate the wonderful contributions of all the performers that make these virtual concerts possible.

Best wishes for a safe Thanksgiving!

Musically yours,

Charlotte Ewing
VP of Artistic Development for DGMC
