The Downers Grove Music Club is a community music organization fostering a commitment to excellence through high quality musical performances and music education within the west suburban Chicagoland area.
Our programs are open to the public and are free of charge. In addition to these events, each season DGMC sponsors a piano festival for students. Believing that education is paramount to the development of young musicians, the club awards music scholarships to local deserving high school students. All scholarships are funded through dues and through generous donations from DGMC benefactors.
You may choose from the following levels of membership:
Individual ($30), Family ($35), Student ($10), Ensemble ($60) or Organization ($60).
To join now, download the Application for Membership [ PDF, 19KB] document and mail the completed form, along with your dues, as instructed at the end of the document.
Who can Join?
Membership in the Downers Grove Music Club is open to anyone who wishes to support our activities. We encourage membership from both performing and non-performing members. New members have full rights, privileges and obligations of the club. We strongly encourage all performing members to contribute at least one performance per season, as they are able. Each spring, as part of of their club participation, we encourage members to complete an annual member survey indicating how they wish to participate in the upcoming season..
That's a good question, especially since you can enjoy our concerts and enter students in our festivals without being a member. The big answer is that you understand the importance of promoting music in your community and DGMC is an active, vibrant group of people who share your views.
As a member, you will be connected to other musicians through our member directory and newsletters. If you are a performer, you will have priority over non-members in participating in our concerts. If you are a teacher, the teacher's fee will be waived when entering students in one of our festivals.
