In April, we begin our month-long program of Rising Stars with pianist Lincoln Peckenpaugh playing the “Prelude” from Suite Bergamasque by Claude Debussy. About Lincoln
Lincoln attends Downers Grove North (DGN), where he is active in the music program, both currently in the Marching Band and Wind Ensemble. Lincoln has been playing piano since the age of 4, and grew up originally on the Suzuki method. Last year, Lincoln was honored with two music awards from the DGMC. He won the 1st place prize at the Senior Competition level in the 2020 Piano Festival & Competition and also received a 2020 Rising Stars music award. Lincoln frequently plays in the church band for Sunday worship at Hinsdale Covenant Church. Following his high school career, he plans to attend college and law school, and participate in a piano program of some fashion. Lincoln studies under Chris Garofalo.
